Ironically, every one of the dumbasses (such as yours truly) to continue anyway is going to have better job prospects because of this.

How many less applicants? This is just applications, no?

yes, this is just a drop in the number of applicants. there were will still be an estimated 66k LS applicants. in past years there have been about 60k LS slots. so we shall see if there is actually a drop in the number of enrollees. schools have also been cutting class sizes so that could also help decrease the number of enrollees.

And yet, we still applied and many of us have put seat deposits down and will be matriculating in the fall. What does that say about us?

It says we time things well, because we will be coming out when the economy is better and we'll have less competition for jobs.

Our OCI will be near the end of 2012. Unemployment is expected to be around 7%. Do you think employment prospects will really be better? Will a year and a half be enough time to filter out all of the unemployed attorneys/law students? + the huge record breaking class of 2013?

Doesnt matter. I have accepted that poverty awaits me. Wish it was the good ole days back when debtors just got all-expense paid trips to Australia ( at least I think thats how it worked).

So what do you all think this will affect?
Are we looking at lower stats or floors at some schools? (*praying the answer is yes*)

Seriously though. We all caution people on this forum to avoid law school because of the legal market. Yet nearly all of us will be attending law school. Why do we seem to think we will succeed when we tell everyone else the likelihood of them succeeding is minuscule?
