Another School VS School Question!

I have a dilemma...

I have been accepted at numerous schools from TT to TTTT. Currently, I live in San Diego, CA, and I want to practice law in the area of commercial aviation (administrative, contracts, international). I am willing to practice in California or Texas considering both have job opportunities for me. Thomas Jefferson School of Law seems to be up and coming (plus I have a $42,000 scholar offer), but Loyola New Orleans has better reviews.

I have Tier 2 options (LSU in particular) as well, but the free price tag (scholarships & Post 9/11 GI Bill) at these two schools is appealing.

So, with all stereotypical BIGLAW, T20 rhetoric to the side...

should I pick TJSL or Loyola New Orleans?

Avoid TJ. It's newer, very expensive, and has a minimum network. It's also not a well respected school from everything I have read.

Loyola NO is dramatically better than Thomas Jefferson.

But the real question is, how good is Loyola NO?

It's average. Nothing really notable, but nothing really negative. It's expensive but throws scholarships like candy (although that fact wouldn't affect OP).

If you want to stay in SD and TJ is free, give it a shot, can't hurt. I'm a big fan of the Big Easy, but I wouldn't want to make it my home - and I don't think that Layola NO will travel to TX very well.

Not trying to be mean, but take a year off, retake the LSAT, and try to get into USD with $. You will be much happier.

If cost isn't an issue, why not go to LSU?
