Scholarship Negotiations....when should I hear back?

Yesterday, I sent out two emails into two schools about raising my scholarship award. I know I am impatient but I really want to hear back soon. Does anyone know how long it takes schools to make a final decision on scholarship negotiations?

One would think possibly after school's deadlines they will know how much if any money they have left. I think at this point almost all money has been given out, but it depends on the school.

Can anyone PM me one of these? I'd like to try my hand at negotiating one of these days.
Btw, do people often do it? Is it chutzpah at all? I don't want to risk straining my relationship with a law school for a 10% chance at saving 10k.

I think schools understand its a game, just like the admissions process. Asking for more money wont strain anything unless you come off looking like a dbag and ask for a BMW or something. Or if you have nothing to leverage and ask for a stipend on top of your full ride. Otherwise, its perfectly normal to fish for more money.
