Top Law Schools

I'm a senior in UG, and stupidly signed up for the class "Philosophy of Law" while in the throes of senioritis. I'm thinking about withdrawing, but a W goes on my transcript. Would a W in such a relevant course be a red flag for law schools?

Possibly relevant info: I'm a phil major, and this would be the third W on my transcript. One from a class freshman year, on from a summer class I never ended up taking, neither in a law-related subject.

Applying next cycle with a 178/3.85 (assuming I don't take a low grade in this class). So I guess my question is, will schools at the top end of the spectrum (YHSCCN) care about the W? Should I tough it out, even if it marginally hurts my GPA?

Thanks, but that thread didn't really answer my question. I guess I should have been more specific.

I know it won't lower my LSDAS GPA, but would a W in a law-related class cause Asha to raise her eyebrows, maybe? "As a philosophy major, I couldn't handle Phil of Law. But you should let me into your law school anyway!" sounds weird. Maybe I'm freaking out about nothing.

In all seriousness, OP, a W won't matter one bit. Congrats on dominating UG and the LSAT!

It could make a difference at Y, simply because of the variability among the profs who will be reviewing your app (Yale does faculty review). HCCN won't care.

I'm pretty sure Yale rejects a few 180/4.0 applicants a year just so it can keep up it's appearance.
