Internship: Where should I go?

Hey everyone,

I'm still slaving away at my BA and still have at least 2 more years (most likely three). This summer, I want to do an internship. Initially, I had decided on going to Beijing. But my parents said that I should look at getting an internship in London / Washington DC because interning somewhere there would help my law school application down the road more so than interning in Beijing.

Thoughts? Consider that the prestige of institution/business is equal across the board.

Also, should I shoot for a legal internship or NGO management internship?

Thanks.

I think that all of them sound equally impressive and law schools would not care whether your internship was in bejing or london.

Your parents are wrong and go wherever you want. If everything is equal go where it's the cheapest.

Go to the NGO (non-legal) one. Go to whatever is most prestigious in its field, provided it makes sense financially.
