Biglaw attrition

Is it mainly due to people ditching after 5 years or is a lot of it from getting fired?

For some, it's biglaw fatigue. For others, it's the firm pushing out senior associates who aren't going to make partner into other opportunities. The worst of it is certainly over, but there's still the occasional report of stealth layoffs, and then of course there's Howrey.
