how do yall go about obtaining internships?

i need someting to keep me busy and i cannot find any real outlet for it.
how do u guys find internships and such?

dont just email. Try and get in touch with a person face to face. Even though a lot of internships are unpaid your well crafted cover letter will be tossed out the window.

so would u suggest just showing up at a place by person first?
or sending cover letter THEN going?
what im tryin gto do at hte moment is just sending out cover letters to law firms in the area.
