i have about a 2.7 as of now and when this semester is over, i'm planning on taking spring, summer, and fall classes
and assuming i get about a 3.9 average for the four semesters, i will end up at about a 3.0
i want to do early admission for some schools yet below a 3.0 is obviously too low to send in
should i wait till december when my final GPA is at 3.0 or above?

I'm confused, you're applying for Fall 2012, right? What kinds of schools are you hoping to get in to? Have you taken the LSAT yet?
In most cases, the difference between 2.7 and 3.0 isn't THAT significant as it below the 25th percentile for almost EVERY law school.
