Typo on Letter of Recommendation

Hello all!

Well I found two small typos on my letter of recommendation that my supervisor gave me. The first was saying "airman" instead of "airmen", and the second was "I have know him for fourteen year" instead of "fourteen years". Otherwise, it's a very well written and overall great LOR.

Unfortunately it's taken since November to get this letter, and the admissions cycle ends on March 15 for the school I want to attend. The letter still needs to be sent and processed by LSAC, and I'm worried that if I ask for a revision its going to take too long - but if I don't, then perhaps the school may reject me based on these typos. Are my fears irrational or should I just go ahead and try to get this fixed by tomorrow?

Thank you!

get it fixed by tomorrow. you're already super late, so another 2 day delay won't make a significant difference.

You won't get rejected based on a typo that you did not make. But like the above poster said, it's extremely late and it won't make a difference if you get it fixed and it's a few days later. And besides, I thought the letter was supposed to be sent directly to LSAC by the recommender.

This. It certainly sucks, but I wouldn't sweat it.

I'm a little worried about what one of my letters of recommendation might look like when it gets sent out in a couple of weeks. The prof that is writing it makes some pretty notable typos in pretty much everything he sent to the class.

Doesn't reflect badly on the person being recommended. Though it certainly doesn't help.
