GULC interview request?

Interview with a GULC alumni, that is. Is this good or bad?
let's see if we can reason through this together. they're either
a.) planning on rejecting you
b.) planning on admitting you (but may be worried that you will not attend)
c.) somewhere in between
if (a), why interview you? so it must be (b) or (c). do the interview, express interest in attending, be impressive.
