I am from the south, but am rather flexible about where I want to practice other than Mississippi/Alabama. I planned on applying to a lot of places like Alabama, Tulane, etc, but also a bunch of better schools where my LSAT is somewhere within the median - though I know my GPA is well below. Would I have any shot at places like Boston U, Fordham, Minn, Wisconsin, etc? Or should I aim a lot lower?

I just got dinged at Fordham with slightly higher GPA numbers for what it is worth. Everyone on this forum will tell you to retake and that is not bad advice. But with your current numbers you have a good shot at a scholarship, though not a full ride, at some Tier 2 schools. If you are really committed to a certain region with one of these schools that might be a great option for you.
