My freshman and sophomore year were spent at a community college. GPA for those 2 years was a 2.76


transferred out to a university, and my major GPA is a 3.98. My cumulative GPA now rests at a 3.3ish


So, write an addendum? or is the improvement obvious by law schools taking a gander at my transcripts?

The upward grade trend will be obvious in your transcripts. Further, it's not unusal for someone to goof off in their first two years and then get more serious about their education as they mature. That being said, if there was some specific motivating factor which caused you to knuckle down or some particular reason why your freshman and sophmore grades were so low in the first place then it may be worth an addendum.

well, i suppose the factor was that i decided to get my act together. hm...im leaning towards not writing an addendum. But i really want to ensure that law schools notice the upward trend.
