Top Law Schools

17 applications are in - yeah, I know that is probably quite a few, but I'd rather have too many options than none at all. Anyone else out there patiently waiting too? I feel like I already need to be talked off a ledge.

Do the offices open tomorrow?

I think most schools are open tomorrow. All my apps have had their reports requested and received with the exception of about 2 or 3 though, so I haven't really been delayed due to the holiday.

I'm trying to figure out a game to amuse myself while I'm trying to wait. Like a law school bingo - every email they send gets a point, change in app status is a point, etc...

Basically, looking for any distraction. Right now, I'm working through Law and Order: CI but I'm almost done with it.

its going to take a while. Start doing some research, and get ready to fill out your financial aid forms ( find out the deadlines for each school) and enjoy!

Its been a month since i last sent out an application, and ive only head back from 4 out of 17 schools. Still have a ways to go.

LOL. True story. Every time a random school emails me about a fee waiver or something, I at least look up its vitals.

I'm actually getting good at guessing locations for schools I've never heard of before looking it up.

Well the good news is that you won't have to wait long at all if you do. I got in after about 7 days. Not sure if I want to move to Lexington VA, despite its historical significance.

Yeah, I was pretty shocked, especially since I really had no intentions of going there and don't really have that competitive of numbers for W&L. If they're e-mailing you, you probably will be fine. Although, my extensive background in Bird Law probably sealed the deal.

Bwhaahahaa. I started the app just now. Then they asked for an optional essay...ugghhh, my LSAT isn't stellar, and my gpa meets their 25th percentile. I have to think about it when I don't have this wine weighing me down.

Yeah, I'd dodge the optional, unless you have some ethical story in which your strong ethical code somehow saved a box of kittens from a burning building. They do love the honor system over there.
