Older, non-trad question.

I will have completed my last 70 credit hours at the same degree granting institution when I graduate in May. Over the past 10 years I took 1 or 2 classes at 4 other schools.

Do I need to list each school on my resume, even if I only took 1 class?

I would personally only list the degree granted and the institution that granted it on my resume.

You will, however, have to submit transcripts for every school and list every school on pretty much every application form.

thanks rickrat...I was hoping that was possible. I've got enough baggage to overcome and did not want to have a laundry list of schools on the resume if I didn't have to. I have already had the schools send individual transcripts to LSAC.

Do you think it should look like this?

I put it all on one line:

XXX State University, B.S. cum laude in Environmental Engineering, March 2002. GPA 3.56.

I got that format from some sample resumes that Harvard Law has on their site. I've seen a lot TLSers refer to them.

The sample resumes are for HLS students and grads looking for jobs, not applying to LS, but a good reference anyway.

thank you....I noticed that most people put education before work experience, but in my case...25 years work experience, would you put education after work experience?

I think education might get kind of lost if you put it after a big long work section, but I am not really sure. I have 8 years WE after undergrad and still listed education first.

Montauk recommends education after work experience if you have a ton, just because you have a career. The overall point of the resume is to communicate your history effectively, so as long as it says what you want then it'll work.

I'd also just list one school. I had multiple transcripts but only listed degree granting.
