under review - why x

Post by glitched » Thu Dec 23, 2010 5:46 pm

I've been under review at a school since late November, submitted around mid november and I kind of wanted to submit a why x. I'm right at this school's 75's but this school is famous for being unpredictable. I didn't tailor anything when I submitted even though I would really love to go to this school (possibly top choice even). Is it too late to submit a why x? I went there for undergrad and I have a lot of ties there and I want to work near there too. Are those good enough reasons?

Edit: basically I'm asking if this is a good idea. If so, how would I do it? Fax/email/snail?

You really should have done this before you submitted. Having gone to the UG, you probably have a lot of cool stuff you could have written.

I would contact the admissions office and ask them if you can supplement your application with a Why essay. You could probably fax or email it in.

Good luck!

It can't hurt.
The timing is weird since you have been in review for a month but there will be a 2 week hiatus for anyone looking at your app.
But, your reasons seem solid so I think it will only help.
