Why X Addendum After Submitting Applications? Forum

Has anyone sent a why X addendum to schools after their applications are already submitted? If so, did you just email the schools, and would you recommend doing so?

I sent in applications last week, but I feel like this could boost my chances at schools where i'm slightly below medians.

Notfiy the schools that you'd like to supplement your application with an essay that convey's your strong interest in the school. Im sure they'll let you fax/email it in.
