What's the point of the "watch" feature on LSN? Forum

What's the point of the "watch" feature on LSN?
It doesn't seem like the website gives you updates when profiles you are "watching" change. Am I missing something, or are you just supposed to periodically click on each profile and figure out on your own if something's changed?

i'd guess that it's just like a buddy list so you don't have to search for the profiles you're interested in
