Iowa accepts via email (followed by a letter). But it was on the status checker for me a day before I got the email. Not sure how you want to notate that.

Stanford calls admits, not snail mail. Also, I don't know if you want to clarify but NYU admits = big purple envelope, rejections = small white envelope.

May be a stupid question...but when has that stopped anyone on a TLS forum haha:
What if you dont answer the phone? Do they leave a message?

Most places will leave a voicemail and send a follow-up email. It is a real person (not automated).

Yale calls, Stanford calls, & Michigan doesn't e-mail acceptances. It's either sneaking into the site early or getting a package in the mail after your status checker goes "decision."

But yaaay awesome thread!

ETA: And Gtown's acceptance envelope is a card-sized one!

Not necessarily. I was notified by phone (A) and I believe a few others were, as well - but mostly SC, yes. (best. phone call. evah.)

Also, as just mentioned by Ms. Woods, they sent email follow up.
