Does an "internship" count as employment?

Should I list a public interest internship under the "public service activities" portion of an application or the "employment record" portion?

If it was regular hours, I would list it under employment, even if unpaid.
If it was sporadic volunteering, then public service activities.

I would decide based upon whether or not you were paid.

One was 16 hours, the other 32, both unpaid

Sounds like they lean more towards the "public service activities" section

I'd put it under "Work Experience" in your resume but leave it out of employment
