3.92 GPA and a 167 LSAT – too late to apply?

Is it too late to get into places like UCLA, Cornell, Vandy, et cetera with those numbers? Would I just be wasting my time by applying now?

Worst that could happen is you don't get accepted and have to apply again next year. Might as well try.

You're not too late but are quickly getting there. Just get apps in now so you're considered before the Dec test takers.
I'd apply ED to UVa - you'll have an answer before New Year though I'm assuming you're OOS, so it's a reach.
Depending on the school you might still be able to switch to ED somewhere else if you get WL or rejected at UVa. You would still have time for round II ED at Duke

Hmmm, would I have better odds at Duke or UVA with my numbers?

Duke. Also you have a really good shot at all the schools mentioned in the OP.

If the OP applies ED to UVa today or tomorrow, they'd have a good chance of getting an answer before Dec scores are released, giving time to get an ED app in to Duke before the rush. That's assuming they'd prefer UVa over Duke.
Given how long it's been since Oct, and no new scores until the end of the month, I'd guess there's not a lot of difference between applying in two weeks to Duke and applying today, yet those two weeks allow for a complete ED cycle at UVa.

Also, do I have a shot at NW? I have about a year of work experience, kinda. It was an internship with a law firm (a V100 firm) that became a several months ago job…

Congrats on that great GPA. Apply to Berkeley (unless you really feel like you wouldn't want to go there). They LOVE high GPAs

The more important question is do you need to go to law school this fall? Your numbers are solid, but by the time you get a personal statement and Rex letters together it could be a month from now. It's not as if law there is an abundance of legal jobs out there right now, so going to the best school possible is key. You'll be significantly better off both with your chances and in the long run waiting 9 months and being first in line at UVA and berkley than you will be at the bottom of the pile at Vandy and Cornell.

Well I don't need to -- but I want to. And I have a PS and letters of rec are ready to go.

Then apply to UVa today. They have a max fifteen day turnaround for ED applications.
You have an answer by the new year - very likely before Dec scores are released, and you can apply ED to Duke.
Apply RD to the others today too. I don't know where you are located. The deadline for off-campus interviews at Northwestern has passed and the deadline to request an on campus interview is tomorrow. If you can get there, I'd request an interview too. The Vandy interview deadline has passed.

UVa require the Early Decision form before you'll go complete. You might want to call and see if they'll accept it by fax or if they need a hard copy. If they need the original, you might want to UPS it overnight. It'll cost about $30, but given the cost of all the apps you're about to fire out, that's hopefully doable.

They also love very early applications, minorities (not openly), women, and people who have softs that are approaching newsworthy level if you don't meet any of the other three aforementioned criteria.
