Just realized I made this mistake. Help? It was just to one school.

Should I send them an email or call about it? What to say?

This is a very difficult error to overcome. Hopefully the law school will just look at your numbers & place your application in the admit file. If waitlisted, then just send a letter of continued interest--preferably with the correct law school name.

Honestly dude, you're fucked. I hope it wasn't your top choice. Unless you have BEYOND autoadmit numbers, this is a fatal error.

I know a few students that did this intentionally to get rejections from colleges/universities that their parents pressured them to apply to during their senior year of high school. It worked.

You're ok. I made this exact same mistake on my DS to a t14 school, accidentally using the name of another. I emailed their admissions dean and explained that I was filling out a lot of applications and that things simply got a little out of order, that I was excited about the school, and that I hope he could forgive my sloppiness. I received notification of acceptance three days later.

This is probably credited. My money's still on OP being screwed, depending on his numbers and the school, but a polite mea culpa never hurts.

I think contacting the school is the only way to go here. It's not like a typo where they're reading too quickly so they won't notice - it's a name they'll recognize as not theirs. The error shows you're a little sloppy, but failing to contact them about it suggests you failed to even notice your own mistake.

It probably depends on the school, regardless you need to send a letter that is personal and full of effort. Perhaps handwritten in gold ink. I think if, for example, you put down Cornell and sent it to Harvard they will think to themselves, "oh it happens to the best of us, hahaha, and we should know because we are the best, wahahahaha."

On a side note: did you know if you put Harvard without the capital H in your iPhone, or at least into mine, it tries changing it to garbage. I think they did this on purpose, not cool apple.

I did this to one school while sending in emails to withdraw my applications and it worked just fine.
