Is Cornell known to yield protect? My numbers are slightly high for the school, but I could really see myself going there over higher ranking schools if the money was right.

They YP yes. They aren't known for it though. You should know they are pretty stingy with money.

+1, they aren't known for YP, you might want to write a "Why Cornell" just to be on the safe side though.

Really? That's too bad. I'm above both 75ths by a decent amount. Do they give out any large scholarships to people with high numbers? If not, i guess we know why their medians are below the rest of the top schools.

From the Cornell Accepted thread, it seems like they YPed quite a bit...but that's just a sampling.

Yeah, although I don't know if there's a pattern to this. The deferrals seemed to hit several people across the higher end of the spectrum. I was actually a shade above median GPA and way above median/75th% LSAT, but it's hard to gauge how much higher is "too high" since both are at 168.
