do law schools report GPA to the hundredth or tenth place? Forum

I think after my fall grades, I'll have 3.59. Do law schools look at this like a 3.6 because of the way it will affect an average or like a 3.5?

I'm sorry, can you clarify that response? They get to report a 3.59?

I'm sorry, can you clarify that response? They get to report a 3.59?

LSAC is going to show law schools on your Academic Summary Report that you have a 3.59. I, for example, have a 3.871... on my ASR it is a 3.87.

In fact, it's pretty easy to look up if you've sinced up for the credential assembly service with LSAC. have you?

thank you, and yes I have. Just wasn't sure if ABA asked for just x.x and if that would effect the way schools looked at a GPA for reporting purposes.

Law schools report GPA exactly as you see it: 2 decimal places.

LSAC does it that way, but some schools report GPAs with only 2 decimal places. Check out Suffolk's averages on LSAC.
