Still pending at UC Hastings through LEOP. Submitted it in the first week of November.
No clue what's going on.

Serious congrats! If you don't mind my asking, were your numbers very far above median? You're so lucky the waiting is over for you!Amplified wrote:I was accepted today, but they said my offer didn't include participation in the LEOP program. Oh well, I'm happy either way.
Yes, I am. Moving to SF would be fun for me, but I'm a single guy with minimal stuff to bring up.leron wrote:are you in la, amp? i've been stressing about the logistics of quitting my job and pulling off the move later this summer.
Congratulations! When did you go complete?LACatholic wrote:I received my admit letter today (although it was dated 01/22) ... with acceptance into the LEOP program. I called earlier in the week and was told that it would probably be in March but here I am I don't think I was an auto admit either (3.56/158)
Congrats!LACatholic wrote:I received my admit letter today (although it was dated 01/22) ... with acceptance into the LEOP program. I called earlier in the week and was told that it would probably be in March but here I am I don't think I was an auto admit either (3.56/158)

events in your life that have been severe and chronic enough to reduce your academic performance significantly. And let's define significant as a tier in law school rankings ie HYS T14 T30 T1 That's the standard I'd go by anyway.toomuchcoffee wrote:Can anyone elaborate on significant adversity? can anyone give me some examples relating to significant adversity in terms of experiences of immigrants from developing nations? I'm seriously not trying to make myself sound like a victim when I'm not, it's just that "significant adversity" can be very subjective when you are evaluating yourself. Compared to upper middle class, private school caucasian kids, sure it can feel like I've faced significant adversity. But compared to an abused orphan whos parents died of HIV from a third world country, I've lived the life of a princess I guess.... I just want clarification, I don't want to apply to something I don't qualify for.

I applied LEOP. It kind of sucks how long it will take for the decisions to come back out. I think LEOP applicants won't hear back until April, and I applied way back in October...
Thanks! 167/3.23. I've been out of undergrad for a couple of years, so I am hoping the program will help ease my transition back into school some. I'm very relieved to have heard back so soon because I was expecting a March/April decision too. Good luck!km23 wrote:
Amazing news! Congrats! What are your stats if you don't mind?! I am a bit worried because LSAC just received my updated transcript but it says it wasn't requested by Hastings. Could this be due to the fact that they already sent a decision? I showed A LOT of interest in this program.
Also, how did the letter look? lol
