My boss mailed in my LOR last Tuesday, but so far I still haven't received an update from LSAC yet, how long does it generally take for them to process a LOR? Thanks.

up to a week after receipt, but they're probably getting really busy right before Thanksgiving

My ex-boss mailed it 3 weeks ago, and it did not appear on my LSAC account. Then I sent a mail to LSACinfo, and they replied in two days. However, the next day, it appeared on my account. My inference is that sometimes you have to shake them up a little bit. The deluge of paper at LSAC around this time must be something.

My prof mailed his letter in last Tuesday and nothing, either. You're not alone.

Short answer: It varies.

Could be a few days or few weeks. Doesn't hurt to call and check.

You could ask your professors to fax an additional copy over. I had several of mine faxed in a couple weeks ago, and the turn-around time was very fast.

Fax it. It takes mere HOURS to show up!

Just faxed mine...hours even at this time so close to T-giving?

My last letter was mailed on Thursday of last week and was processed on Monday.

FYI, just faxed mine yesterday at like 11am and just checked LSAC...it posted!

Call them! Same thing happened to me a month ago and it turn out my Professor forgot to sign it. They didn't alert me or anything

faxing is the best...mine showed up within 2 hours!

I would like to add that if your letter has been taking a long time you should email LSAC to inquire about it. I waited two weeks before emailing them, only to receive a reply an hour later that the letter was "smudged" and unreadable. They said they'd mailed a letter to the recommender to explain this, but my prof rarely visits the office I listed as a mailing address, so I doubt he would have known if I hadn't inquired.

dang. i better re-fax mine. had my recommender fax 2 days ago and still nothing. very impatient.

Make sure that its signed and that he faxed the printed LOR sheet from LSAC. Otherwise they wont upload it and they don't send notices as to why
