Does anyone know how what percentage of the class at T14 schools are filled using ED?

I made the decision to apply RD to all of my schools, but seeing the volume of EDers to schools like UVA and Michigan is making me nervous. I am getting worried that a large fraction of the class will be filled with ED applicants (potentially many more than in previous years) leaving a lot fewer RD acceptance slots.

I have lots of other apps out there, just feeling a little paranoid.

I think it is a valid fear for UVA, but not really for other schools.

Do you have any idea what percentage of UVA's class is ED? I applied ED on 11/19 and I'm hoping that I can contribute to that number.

Around 10% of the OoS target has been filled with ED from LSN alone. Assuming there are a number of non-LSN users who are also in ED that may be a substantial fraction of the class.

I also heard that Virginia had a number of deferrals due to unexpectedly high yields last year, so the number of open seats might be smaller than I estimated.

I noticed a trend in my ED last year and thought it was nothing. But now it is really having an effect on my romantic life and overall happiness.

There are only 4 ED applications on LSN and they are all pending. I doubt that a substantial portion of the class will be filled with ED applicants.

Last year's numbers on LSN show 12 ED applicants and only 5 accepts. Duke has a ~200 person class.

Just worry about UVA. They are the school with the most difference between ED and RD applicants. People with 170+/3.0+ or 3.9+/165- know that realistically UVA is the t14 they have the best shot at so they just throw an ED there.

It's also important to point out that unlike other schools, UVA's ED runs throughout the cycle. Having a longer window to apply certainly brings more ED apps.

What percentage of the enrolled class matriculated via the Binding Early Decision Program?

We do not have a set number of spots for the Binding Early Decision Program. However, in the most recent class, 20 percent of the enrolled students were admitted through the program.
