I know this has been asked a million times before, but I am apparently useless with TLS's search function. Harvard Phone Interview: good sign, yeah? Also, what is it like? (If there is a previous thread that answers this, you could just link me there...)

i'm bad w/ links, but this is discussed in the acceptances etc forum. in brief, phone interview is a good sign; all admitted students get one; usually about 1000-1200 phone interviews for 800ish offers; it's about 5 minutes long and you can find more info on the phone interview on the harvard admissions blog.

Also, one very likely reason for the failure of the search function regarding this matter is, practically nobody calls that particular interview "Harvard Phone Interview" on these forums. Search "JR1" and be amazed!

1. About 75% of people with the interview get in (which isn't to say the interview determines which 75% gets in).
2. He'll ask you why law and why Harvard, and give you a chance to ask questions. But also be prepared to discuss your application, especially if you have something on there that might stand out.
PM me if you have any specific questions.
