depending on your state you will have to contact in writing the dmv. that will take about a month. Your record may only go back 3 years or so. Contact your DMV ( best of luck) and see how it goes.

Don't have specific experience yet, but it seems like the consensus is that you should attempt to be as open and honest as you can be. Character and fitness, in this regard, seems to be looking at your honesty. If you think you may have left something out, let them know there may be additional information. It might also be helpful to offer to obtain all public records, at the schools request.

I've gotten two tickets, both over 10 years ago...both were dropped and don't show up on my driving record. One I know the date, the other I don't. I'm just going with "I got X ticket on X date. I also got X ticket when I was 17, but neither the DMV nor my records show the exact date."

They're not going to ding you for tickets over 10 years old.

+1. Just disclose to the best of your ability. Tickets are nothing to worry about. Most schools don't ask you to disclose minor traffic violations anyways.
