totally depends on where it is in your application, and how much of a strickler the person reading it is.

if its the only one, and in your personal statement- then i wouldnt worry about it. if you have more than a very select few that are far in between then it may become an issue.

if its in your resume, make sure its the only one ( employers and schools hate any kind of typo on a resume)

your numbers will matter more, being at 25 and median may hurt your app the most ( sorry to be a pessamistic, but dont get your hopes up too high).

best of luck, and try not to think about it too much

You're obviously already worried. I think you should probably head down to the corner bar and talk it over with your bartender. They'll straighten you out.

dont worry about it, im pretty sure everybody has some sort of typo whether they're aware of it or not. My own typo was not putting the extra period after "U.S" (its supposed to be U.S.); at the end of the day its no big deal and they read resumes so quickly that i betcha they wont even notice

Now all adcoms on TLS are scrutinizing resumes looking for that extra period.

Admissions Dean of Yale cares, but she is a cunt.

Well I'm obviously being neurotic, but when I mean if I should worry about it, I guess I'm wondering if it's worth resubmitting the revised resume.

One question: is there anything you can do about it now? You're not going to call them and say "Listen, about that extra period on line 4 of my resume..." so just forget about it. Besides, with all ten thousand applicants, how much time will they really spend on your resume?

It doesn't seem to matter how careful I am when putting my applications together (usually spend ~40 minutes hitting "Preview" and going back and forth changing little things after everything is already done). I always find at least one typo in my application days after I hit submit. *sigh* I feel like an idiot, but what's done it done. Just gotta move on and fix them for the next application.

As for the OP, I think you're fairly safe. It's not as bad as the one I just caught in my own.

I know a guy who wrote something about having public service experience, but accidentally wrote that he was very experienced in "pubic service." So yes, some typos are worse than others.

Harvard's dean cares big time. He repeats it multiple times in his interview.
