Top Law Schools

So , If I get a C, for example , in Calculus and the retake the course with another professor, get an A , the C does not count toward my GPA. However, law schools will know that I have repeated the course, and most likely they will know what my initial grade was.
My problem is that I will most likely get an A in every subject this semester (my first semester at college), but I have a lot of troubles with my calculus class, mainly because I seem not to be able to work efficiently with the professor.

Law schools count both in your GPA.

If you were to get a C the first time retake the class and get an A when your GPA is calculcated by LSAC both of those grades will be calculated (even though your school will not count it it WILL be counted for the purposes of law school). If you are still able to withdraw from the class then you might consider doing that and then taking the class with a different professor to have a better chance at getting that A.

The LSAC GPA includes both grades ? So I`d better get at least a B

It's probably not too late to withdraw and get a W.

I spoke with my professor and he told me if I study hard I have all the chances of getting anything between B- and A- so even if I get a B- it`s not a big deal. I am getting A in everything else, and in addition it is just the first semester of my freshman year. My gpa after the end of the semester will be between 3.75 and 3.85.I have 5 more semesters to improve to 3.95-6

It's not good to start out your freshman year with a B-, especially if you eventually want to aim for HYS. With a 3.75 you'd need straight A's for 5 semesters to hit 3.95, or a 3.93 for 5 semesters to average 3.90. I would just take the W.

I cant withdraw when 7 weeks have passed. The professor was constantly advising the ones who do not feel comfortable to just withdraw, but it felt like giving up. I will try to pull a B.
