LSAC GPA Calculation

I am having my transcripts sent to the LSAC's CAS. I'm curious if anyone knows how the do the calculation. Specifically, my college's calculation of GPA is such that if I take the same class twice, they only count the highest score. For example:
Spring 2004 - Random Class 101 - F
Spring 2005 - Random Class 101 - A
This would be applied to my GPA as a 4.0 on my college transcripts whereas if you were to simply average the two as if they were two different classes (and if it was the same number of credits) it'd be a 2.0 ((4.0 for A + 0.0 for F) / 2 classes = 2.0). Get it?
Does anyone know what method the LSAC uses?
