Top Law Schools

I thought it might be a good idea to compile a list of the progression of the various status checkers, so we have an idea of what to expect. It will also let me know which ones have gone as far as they will (Georgetown!) and when to stop checking them.

Post your statuses as you get decisions, and I'll keep the OP updated. Also, post different versions or corrections, please, since I don't have first-hand experiences with these

So far we have:

Duke: Received -> Complete -> Under review -> Decision made; watch for email.
Georgetown: Received-->Complete
Michigan: Received-->Complete-->Decision
NYU: Application being processed-->Under Review--> Decision

No status checkers:

George Washington
Suffolk
UCLA

I think this is a good idea, so I'm bumping it.

can law schools see how often you've logged into your status checker? I know rumor has it Mich can see how often you tried to access the admitted students' site.

lol. I have a hard time believing they would see this or care. They have thousands of neurotic applicants that I doubt they really stalk individually.

YES! They are like the airline companies. The more hits their admissions page gets, the higher they raise tuition.
Kidding, but this actually wouldn't surprise that much me given all the ridiculous things I've learnt about the law school business the past few months.

Who needs to stalk anyone? Get some Google Adsense up in there, make some more cash off these applicants.

I have a separate but related question:

Do I actually have to check these at all? They'll contact me if they need something right?

as far as I'm concerned, Cornell is application processing -> ....dark abyss

I thought NYU went Processing -> Under Review?

GW doesn't appear to have a status checker. I got an e-mail a week and a half after I applied saying my application was received and is complete, and I'll hear back when they've made a decision.

Mine currently says, "Application being processed."
