Top Law Schools

What's the consensus on GPA floors for schools that give a lot of weight to GPA? (I'm thinking Berkeley, UCLA, etc.)

I'm a splitter, and my lawschoolpredictor results look way too positive for my GPA. Thanks in advance.

Between 3.3 and 3.6.

That is a big range. A lot of T-14 have what seems to be a hard floor at 3.0 (except NWU with significant WE and good LSAT). Without big big LSAT numbers (175+) it seems like a lot of floors are closer to 3.5

Without knowing your actual GPA, it's tough to say. If it's closer to 3.6, you're looking good. If closer to 3.3, it's hard to say, and your mileage may vary.

3.3/175 is very very different from a 3.6/175. It's a large enough range to really limit the quality of advice. Either of those GPAs however make Berkeley less than a lock, but a 3.6 makes it probably still worth the application fee.

Then go to LSN and figure it out yourself. If you aren't looking for other people's advice then stop being lazy and figure it out yourself.

Berkeley and Duke effectively have 3.6 GPA floors. CCN have a 3.5 GPA floor. MVP have 3.0 GPA floors.

175/3.3 = in at MVPN, out at CCN+BD.
175/3.6 = in at CCNMVPND, out at HYS, B.

I thought ccn had a floor of 3.4.

Columbia has a 3.5 soft floor, NYU and Chicago have dipped lower for higher LSATs.

Yeah your chances go up a lot when you hit 3.5, but it is not impossible to get in below that.
