odds at the 25th percentile

What are your odds when your numbers are right at or slightly above the 25th percentiles? Does it come down to softs? Are you hoping for the waitlist? Or should you have at least one of the two numbers much higher to be confident at your chances?

Pretty awful unless you're a minority.

Your only chance is to retake and hit the LSAT median.

Few people get in with both numbers at the 25's. The reason why the 25/75 splits turn out the way they do is generally because there are lots of people who are above median on one metric and below on the other.

So both your numbers are at/below the school's 25th percentile? Short of amazing softs, this is almost certainly a ding. Doesn't mean you shouldn't apply though.

Also, aren't 25/75 figures pretty much irrelevant? USNWR bases their formula on medians.

Yes. Funny thing is, USNWR ONLY shows 25/75s on their own website no GPA/LSAT medians to be found (have to go off of school's website/TLS).

Well for me, compared to 2009 schools based on ABA/LSAC guide, it dropped almost all of my schools from about 50% chance to 10-30% chance. I don't know if the people accepted are of a minority or not. So hopefully I'll get into one of those programs. Boy does it suck to be a white male when applying to law school.

Unless this is a typo, then you need to add some more safeties. (schools where your chances are >75%)

I have added safeties. I just got so many fee waivers (20) that I thought "why the hell not apply?"

This kind of thinking is so stupid, offensive, wrongheaded and delusively narcissistic it is unbelievable. You (and I) were born into more benefits and privileges than any other racial and gender identity group in the world. STFU. HTH.

Effectively zero at most schools. Being just below median at both schools is effectively zero.
