Which of the following people would have the best chance getting into the T14 or T6 schools?? Take your pick -- I'm curious.

a)4.0GPA/168

b)3.7GPA/172

c)3.5GPA/176

d)3.0GPA/180

e)URM with 3.5GPA/168

opinions? I'm inclined to think choice D (3.0/180) would have the worst chance at the T6 schools...

For T6: E C B A D

I would guess that all of the choices would have a shot at the T14. Maybe B has the best shot at the lower end of the top 6? I think D would get into most places except H/Y

E, B, C, A, D.

There be a 3.5 GPA floor at CCN these days.

D is not cracking CCN.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Over estimated the strength of a 180.

Yeah you're right, C maybe gets NYU, but B has a shot at every CCN.

They all have at least a somewhat reasonable shot at top 6 except D.

D still Absolutly gets in the top 14 even with a 3.0 just to show a huge range of marticulating students -- "We're so holistic our entering class has GPA's ranging from 3.0 to XX and our LSATs range from XXX to 180". Then we buy it and throw a hail Mary and get laughed at.

My thoughts.

C/B/E/A/D

E is a URM but has weak stats (for a T6) that even URM status wouldn't help that much..still better off than the 3.0/180.

Easy admit to NW with work experience. Apparently our GPA range this year is 2.2-4.2.
I'd think there's a very small chance with Columbia though with a 180/3.0. I got waitlisted with a 176/3.28 but didn't submit any more stuff because I had already picked NW.

Low GPA + 180 = still a low GPA. The 180 is not as powerful as you think.

I think D would be out at P for sure as well as MV, unless he or she EDs.

Probably out at P, not necessarily out at M/V. All three seem to have a 3.0 floor.

Definitely out at D, which has a 3.5 floor.

B has a better shot overall in the T14, but C has a better shot a CLS.

E is cleaning up.

Interesting. I am almost EXACTLY situation C. I hope you all are right in predicting success for C ;)

Besides E, C has the best shot. 4 more lsat points is worth more than .2 GPA, in general.

The 4.0/168 is screwed by the 170+ firewall of a lot of T-14 schools (even with ED).

Also, since I am 3.22/180, does that mean I'm fucked at NYU even with a ED?

All of those are locks for t14. If you're talking about just t6 then that's a different matter.
