Do schools keep your previous personal statements?

So if I'm applying to the same schools, do I need to/should I pound out a new one? I really don't have anything to add, though...

They probably still have it. They may look at it, or they may not. You don't necessarily have to write a completely new statement, but I would try to make some adjustments.

Thanks! My PS last year was banging, and I am having trouble coming up with something as good. However I feel that I should try to add something different so they don’t think I’m lazy. I plan on letting my new LSAT score do most of the talking. I’d like to update the adcomms on what I’ve done, but I don’t have anything really noteworthy. Could I just submit the same PS, and then add a very short addendum that states what I have been doing and why I am reapplying? For the ones I was waitlisted and rejected at, I might state that I’ve been working and that I didn’t matriculate last year because I wanted to attend school XXX and wanted a chance to reapply there because they’re my “dream” school. Thoughts?

That may be okay, but I don't know. Someone who reapplied may know more.
