Addendum Advice: Multiple LSATs, SAT, GPA

Hi All,

LSAT SCORES: 151 (year: 2007), 159 (2010), 161 (2010)
UGPA: 3.98
SAT SCORES:1180 (2002), 1190 (2003), 1250 (2003)

1. Did not study for the 1st LSAT Score, is this a good reason to put in addendum?
2. Is it worth comparing LSAT scores to SAT scores, to mention that SAT scores did not predict academic performance?

Any other advice? Thanks guys.

This must be a troll. Who takes the SAT three times?

I did. Fee waivers. Any advice?

I did too. And it worked out fine.

But to answer the original question, saying you didn't study the first time makes you seem lazy, ill-prepared and arrogant. Don't say that.

Would you guys say a 1250 is a bad SAT score and its comparable to a 161? I am thinking of attaching the SAT score to the addendum.

First, they don't care about SAT scores--period.

Second, they aren't going to care about an LSAT from 2007...it's going on 2011 and that was almost 4 years ago. I'd only concern yourself with your current scores from this past year.

If you do not have a real reason for the discrepancy in your LSAT scores (ie not just I didn't study), I would not attach an addendum. I am also a re-taker, and I did not attach one unless the school required it. I also would not mention your SAT scores.

I took the LSAT three times too. 157-164-172.

Some of my schools required an addendum for jumps of more than 4-6 points.

I wrote about how I changed my study method from rote memory and repetition to analyzing my strengths and weaknesses and focusing on correcting those mistakes.

I'll get back to you in a couple months re: how well that went.

I took the ACT 5 times, SAT twice. It was tons of fun...
