Do I need an addendum? (163 to 170, GPA issues)

So I was a hard science major for three semesters and had a bad GPA (around 3.2 or 3.3). Since I have switched to a Business major, I have so far earned a 3.95 GPA in 32 hours attempted (one spring semester + summer). My cumulative GPA is around a 3.55 currently but I expect it to be around a 3.7 around graduation. Should I write an addendum? Also I am graduating in 3 years from undergrad.

I took the June '10 LSAT and scored a 163.. this was when I had no time to study and was working full time. I also had a minor foot procedure which caused lots of pain. I was medicated prior to the test. I scored a 170 this October. Is an addendum needed?

My target schools are UVA, Georgetown, Texas, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Duke, etc.

Thanks

"I was medicated" is a fine LSAT addendum.

On the other hand, "my major was hard" is a terrible GPA addendum. If you want them to treat you like your GPA is 3.7, apply next year.

As a 3.55/170, I think your chances at the UVA and Duke are slim without ED. Not sure about Georgetown. Texas and UCLA both like GPA, so you're not a lock there, but your chances are better. As a soft splitter, you should probably apply to more schools.
