Im trying for an ED ll/15, plus it seems stupid to take the chance. Even if i get a 170 then im at where i was before AND i have to do late admissions. What i just get another 165? Im only two points ahead of my average....

average doesnt matter if your score is 5+ normaly, you will have a much better cycle if you apply with a 170+ late instead of a 165 early. You can get apps in and just have the score coming.

I had a lower score second time around. Then a higher score third time so don't lose hope.

Like a bad day of golf? No.

Retake again, then explain. And use a different excuse ("I get so emotional" is not TCR).

retake, and explain without the analogies. Dont mention your practice tests as they dont mean anything. If anything else, they make you sound like you are searching for pity or making excuses.

you can say you had an issue during the october exam ( illness) or dont say anything until you get your scores- which will put you later in the cycle of applicants

best of luck

Agreed, just retake and say something else. Lawyers don't have emotions.

iuf you are registered for the december test, then the schools may not look at you or make afinal decision until they get your latest score.

if you end up getting a 165, then all they are going to see is that your ceiling is a 165. its normal to deviate 3 points up or down from your score, so its not a big deal either way.

depending on schools, you have to explain multiple lsat scores, even if they are close. ( they want to know why you decided to take it). go with the illness route- use the excuse that you took an over the counter med, and had difficulty concentrating, but wanted to keep the score anyways. then explain that you took it a 3rd time to prove that the first wasnt a fluke ( hopefully it wont be). If you take the test and feel as though you are going to do as bad as the second attempt, cancel it. if not, keep the app, write an addendum and send out your applications that afternoon ( assuming everything else is all done)

best of luck

im not sure that a 3rd time would help you. make sure you are doing your prep tests in actual environment, and early in the morning, and see.. you have until the 19th to cancel and get a refund, so there is still some time to make a final decision

personally, I wouldnt take it again, but thats just me
