Downward Trend

I always see people talking about upward trends, but mine was a downward trend.

If they just use the UGPA and LSAT numbers, I should be in good shape for ED at a T6. But do you think medium grades in graduate school are really gonna hurt my chances?

EDIT: removed identifying info

engineering majors should not worry about their gpa trends. The school will see your transcript and degree type and know the difference between engineering and basketweaving majors. Your getting you pants in a bunch over something thats not worthwhile.

focus on your applications and dont worry

Most people see a downward trend; that's why an upward trend is special.

And graduate grades don't count.

Doesn't matter really.

With a 3.75 and a 172, I don't think you need to ED to get into the T6.

That's not really a downward trend, it's just not quite getting a 4.0 as an engineering major upperclassman. You and every other engineering major.

A downward trend would be 4.0/3.4/2.8/2.0 over four years, dragging your cumulative down a lot farther than 3.75.

This is what I would say.

Where did you go to UG, btw? (OP).

Oh, awesome, thanks!

this. ignore the post about engineer majors. if it comes down to someone identical to you but w/ an upward trend, they'll get the edge. other than that, it doesn't matter
