Yes indeed. Do that for exactly that reason.

I plan to take the December LSAT, and the score will probably come out late Dec or early Jan. I was wondering if I should submit my application before, and once the score comes out (if it's good), send my score to the respective schools.

there's no material difference. If your application is ready and perfect, you might as well submit it. If working on it for any more time will benefit you, then just wait.
