Wait for job interview before submitting app?

Post by jonc4 » Fri Nov 05, 2010 11:05 am

I have been unemployed for a few months, but I might be getting a part-time job soon. Is it better to submit apps now, or wait till the job interview (about a week and a half from now) to find out if I get the job so I can show that I'm currently employed?

Also, if I submit the app before I get the job, can I later submit something saying I'm employed if I get the job? Does that even matter?

I was in the same position as you. I submitted my apps and then once I found a job, I emailed each school with a pdf of my updated resume. All except one school responded to my email saying that my updated resume would be added to my file within a few days.
