LSAC Auto-fee Waiver

So it's my understanding that since I qualified for the LSAC fee waiver, most schools will automatically grant me a fee waiver when I apply. How does this work? How do they know I got a fee waiver from LSAC. Does LSAC tell them? Do I have to do anything extra?

Also, I understand that a number of schools do not grant an automatic waiver (UT). Is there a comprehensive list of schools that do/do not grant a waiver anywhere?

Thanks.

I only know of Yale and Stanford. Didn't know about UT.

When you go to checkout on LSAC, it will only charge you $12. Works the same way as a merit waiver, you don't have to do anything.
