Applying to T-14 as alum

So, I completed my undergraduate education at a university that has a law school in the T-14. My LSAT is seven points below their 25-75 percentile range, but I wrote an addendum explaining how my SAT score was below the undergraduate campus' range yet I still ended up at the very top of my class. Do law schools give a break to alumni of the broader university?

Not when you're 7 points below their median.

7 points below, no, unless you're URM

LOL It's probably worth a try, but everyone seems to think law school apps are all about numbers.

How did you get into the undergrad with an SAT that was well below the range? Perhaps those same qualities make you a stand-out law school applicant. If whatever magical qualities you had from HS didn't carry through into your college days then I would retake the LSAT.

Thanks for your feedback. I've already taken it twice, and I don't want to wait until December to retake again. I'm pretty set on going to law school next fall.
Yeah, every part of my application is incredibly strong except that LSAT. It was the same way in high school. Even though I have seen doctors, I have a problem with anxiety during major tests. Anyways, I'm hoping they'll look beyond that LSAT.

If your GPA is above median (preferably above their 75%) then you should apply Early Decision if they have it, and include a LSAT addendum about anxiety on standardized tests.
But you really should retake, and get some chill pills from your doctor before you do.
What T14?
