My recommenders have been awful and haven't gotten my letters in even though I told them months ago. Is it bad to wait a week or two after the October LSAT results come out to apply?

I think you have a small shot at Harvard. Probably out at Yale and Stanford. End of October is okay to apply. I don't really know about your shot at money (you may want to check LSN), but I remember reading something about people who applied for Root-Tilden-Kern at NYU and got the interview but did not get the scholarship typically got other merit-based aid.

Well above average chance at Harvard; Stanford & Yale might depend upon your essays & other accomplishments.

Another question. Is there any way to check your official LSDAS GPA after your transcript has been submitted, or do you just have to calculate it manually? Also, if you have non-degree graduate courses that you've taken, should those grades be included in your LSDAS GPA?

After all your transcripts are in, you can read the Academic Summary Report that LSAC will generate for you, which includes your LSDAS GPA. Before then, you'll have to calculate it yourself.

Post-degree courses are not included in your LSDAS GPA, I believe. (Unfortunately, since I took an extra term after I was done with my degree and got more As.)

Huh, interesting. That's too bad. Will they even look at the transcript for post-grad classes then?
