UVA for Splitters

Hey,
I've heard that UVA is a splitter friendly school, and they just hooked me up with a fee waiver. With a 170/3.35, is it worth penning a quick Why UVA and shooting off an app, or is my LSAT/GPA not high enough? I know I can check LSP/LSN, but I don't trust LSP for splitter data, and LSN shows mass waitlists. However, I'm not sure how to interpret those waitlists.... eventual admittance or tactful rejections?

You'll likely get in with an ED, probably not RD.

I have similar numbers and was accepted ED, and I'm going to echo the general consensus and say RD = Waitlist/Reject.

Good chance ED, far less good RD. How much do you really want to go there?

Got a shot with Northwestern, Michigan, Cornell, UVA, Gtown. No need to ED to UVA.

UVA didn't take anyone off the waitlist last year (in fact, they were over enrolled, and actually paid people to defer), so a waitlist = rejection. Given that, your odds don't look good without an ED.
You do have a shot at the schools DF listed, but you are hardly a lock for the T14. You could easily end up at one of the Midwestern schools instead.

That is pretty much what I suspected. I have applied to only Cornell and Georgetown in the T14. I got a fee waiver from Northwestern, but I feel my app would still be a waste, considering I am coming directly out of undergrad. I do not want to attend school in the Mid West, however, and have applied to no schools in that region. I figure I am still a strong contender for schools like GW, BU, and Fordham. If I am delusional in thinking this, someone please correct me now so my rejections don't sting as much.
