About to meet an Admissions Officer, What should i ask them?

Post by JD=Doctor » Tue Nov 02, 2010 7:06 pm

They will be giving a presentation and after will be taking Qs

I want to ask a really good Q (something obviously not on their website ect) so that they notice me ... especially if i introduce myself later

Any good Qs you can think of?

Whether the pronoun "them" is singular or plural.

Just be a well spoken, curious person. Ask questions that you are actually want to know. I seriously doubt that asking them about the meaning of life or some complicated legal question is going to do anything but make them think you are a weird kid.

The above still applies. You did not tell us what the school is, so not sure what you're looking for here.

Tell them this:

"I don't really have a question, but I want to take up your time so I can ask a very unique, generic question that is not particularly pertaining to me, in case you remember me in the midst of 50,000 apps. So, what question can I ask that will make a good impression on you?"

Rude? Are you referring to the op? In all seriousness, I find it ridiculous that somebody as disengenuous as the OP is actually getting some serious responses to his childish question.

In the end i had many good questions come to me just through the Admission officers presentation. I was nervous because this is one of my top choices and it is possible to make a good impression one that i did not want to pass by. I feel i did make a good impression (as well put myself in a position to be remembered which only would help during my follow up visit)
