NYU Application Received email
Hi all-- I sent out 6 apps over the weekend, and received 5 application received emails and two application complete emails yesterday. The only one I didn't hear anything from was NYU. Do they usually take awhile to send them? Should I be concerned? Thanks!

Re: NYU Application Received email
It has been over 2 weeks since I sent in all of my applications and, like you, I have gotten a confirmation of receipt from every school except NYU. I called the admissions office and spoke with them yesterday and they said it is entirely normal for it to take several weeks because, unlike other schools, they do not send out a notification of receipt until your entire application has been processed and deemed complete.

Last year I got no communication whatsoever until the decision came in the mail. Not even a receipt or complete email.

Someone went to NYU's information session, and they said that your application can take as long as 6 weeks to process before it goes complete and goes under review. I have no idea why, but your application probably isn't even really put together yet.
