About to send off apps - should I include this?

I'm about to send off apps, but I'm attaching an addendum for my 3.35 GPA. It reads as follows:

In spring 2009, following a 21-credit load semester in which I was pursuing a substitute teaching license and developing a local bilingual Toastmasters branch, I was diagnosed with mononucleosis. This caused my attendance of classes to suffer, which in turn led to lower grades, especially in my Physics 100 course.

Acceptable information? Or just some whiny excuse?

Hahaaa! Im sorry. This made me laugh.

Mono? I dont know if thats the best disease to use as an excuse. At least say you got Lupus or something.

In all seriousness, it sounds whiny because you hit on so many things. You talk about a 21 credit load, toastmasters, a sub teaching license and then you go off, out of nowhere, into Mono.

I wouldnt send it. Your GPA isnt THAT bad.

Good luck!

Unless you had 3.7+ all semesters prior to mono, then sub 3.0 during mono, then rebound to 3.7+, I don't think it's worth it.
