Not sure how to go about describing a job on application

Post by Baruch Hume » Thu Oct 28, 2010 10:43 pm

Here is my situation, I graduated from college in May of 2009, and was a bum for two and a half months where I spent my time only studying for the lsat. Afterward I had decided to apply this fall instead of last fall. For eight months I was working in a family-owned store, while looking for work elsewhere. Now I work as a legal assistant in law firm. During that period of time of working for my uncle I had been paid under the table, and it was only a part time job. Should I still list this as a job on my resume even though it wasn't anything official, or should I put in as an addendum as to what I was doing while looking for work?

put it on the resume if you can make it sound legit.

AdComs aren't going to review and wonder how official everything was. the most detail they would go into would ask during an interview (prepare for that)
